When asked Sangeetha whether she will do glamour roles, she said,” I am stamped as a glamour actress since I acted in films like Uyir and Dhanam. Since the characters of the film were such I had to act glamorously. I will not act in glamour roles if the story does not demand it. I also have not donned a glamour role in Nan Avan Illai Part 2. I am not one of the girls cheated by the hero.
But I don a different kind of role where I narrate why the girls are cheated. Apart from this I am currently acting in Telugu film Srimathi Kalyanam and Kutty Pisasu. In the both the films I am doinghomely roles. There is no truth in the news that I am avoiding films like Dhanam. Why should I avoid such roles? I am ready to act in such roles. But I am not getting such stories.”

Asin who got the Kalaimamani Award said.” I am very happy that I got this award. I have acted in a lot of Tamil films. The two Hindi films I had acted have done well at the box office.

My next film will be announced shortly. Many are asking me about the recent sensational news about me. I am a family bird. If there is no shooting I will spend my time with my dad and mum.

I don’t go for parties and pubs. Ever body knows about it. I am the same in Mumbai as I was in Chennai. So people need something to spread rumors about me. But I am not worried about these rumors.
I am concentrating on my acting. People are asking me whether I will act in Tamil films. Why shouldn’t I act in Tamil films? I will definitely act in Tamil film if I get good story and director.”

Nayanthara celebrated her birthday yesterday in Hyderabad. Speaking on this occasion, she said,” I am pairing with junior NTR in a Telugu film.
That is why I have come to Hyderabad. I had arranged a party for my friends and I had celebrated my birthday by cutting a cake at the party. Only my close friends participated in this party.

In Tamil I am acting with Arya in the film Boss Engira Baskaran and also in a Malayalam film directed by Shyam Prasad. It is not true that I am not accepting new films. I agree to do a film if the story and character is suitable to me.
I don’t mind working in any language. Many are asking me that my films did not do well this year as expected. But I am not worried about this. I am happy as usual. God gives me whatever I wish. That is enough for me.”

Actor Revathy is back after an 8 year gap. She will be seen as creative head of a tv serial on Zee Tamizh which is starting from Monday onwards.The four days a week serial stars Swarnamalaya as well and is about three women in their late thirties and early forties and how they bring about social changes in society.The serial is produced by Media One Global Entertainment who made Dhayam recently and have films like Dhaam Dhoom in their kitty.Rohini has written the title song lyrics of the serial called Yadhu Magi Nindraal. Revathy and Rohini have collaborated together to bring about this concept while Saravanan is directing. Forty episodes have been shot. Revathy says she may be seen in a small role in the serial but felt that Swarnamalaya and others would do more justice to the roles and hence opted for them

Malavika is finally ready to pack her bags back to tinsel town. The actress, who bid adieu to the profession after entering wedlock with Sumesh Menon, is keen to make a comeback.
“Marriage and pregnancy made me stay at home. I had also gained weight after giving birth to a baby boy. So I had not accepted any offers then. After rigorous workouts and diet, I am slim now. And I am open to acting,” she says.
Denying reports that she had made it clear to some filmmakers that she was in no mood to enter films again, Malavika says, “Some approached me to act in insignificant roles. I said no only to them.”
On her son, she says, ‘he was initially reluctant to leave me alone. He wanted to be with me 24x7. However, he is now having a whale of time with other relatives too. So I think there won’t be any problem if I concentrate on films.”
